Did anyone manage to get out over the week-end ?
I was out in Cheshire , nothing came up of note , just the usual buttons and a few georgian grots .

Went out with Shungav from the forest of dean club and found a couple of intersting coins. A lovely condition Viccy and what i think is a jetton but i need to investigate later. Handed the farmer the viccy and a couple of George and a musket ball he was well happy. When i told him he could keep them he said you can try my other farm now. The other farm is located by the abbey and a prime Roman spot. I can't wait to try. It just goes to show giving the farmer a little has its rewards.

Always pay to keep the farmer informed , after all they don't have to let you on their land !
Interesting find , have you identified the metal it is made from ?
It looks as though the front and back legs align to take a pin of some kind .
